Tuition
There is almost no financial reason
for a child to be denied a Presentation School education.
If costs are a barrier to your
consideration of enrolling a child at Presentation, please consider these
factors:
- Tuition at Presentation is competitive with
other private Catholic schools.
- Presentation families do not incur additional, required
costs for items such as book fees, club
participation fees, required fundraising amounts, or financial parish support
requirements.
- Tuition is discounted for siblings of enrolled
students.
- Part of the true cost of tuition is subsidized by the
parish.
- Financial assistance and significant tuition
reduction are available to qualified families.
We are dedicated to working out a
plan that will accommodate your needs. No one, therefore, should deny their
child the opportunity of a Presentation education without looking into the very
reasonable costs available to their family.
Here are some specific assistance programs that help defray tuition and other
costs.
Tuition Assistance Grant
This grant is based on the financial needs of the family and an application must
be filled out and submitted with the registration materials. Tuition assistance
preference is given to families with children currently attending Presentation
School. Parents are notified of the grant amount by March 31. Funds available
for tuitioin assistance vary each year.
Pres Dollars Tuition Credits
Pres Dollars is a fundraising program in which merchants offer certificates to
the School at a discount, varying from 2 percent to as much as 20 percent. When
the School sells the certificates at face value, those discounts are profits.
When parents purchase the certificates, half of the corresponding profits are
credited to their tuition.
Pioneer Foundation
The Pioneer Foundation for the Performing Arts has contracted with various
event promoters to staff concession stands with volunteer workers in exchange
for a percentage commission on all sales in those stands.
Volunteers have the opportunity to work at Twins baseball, Vikings football,
Wild hockey, Gopher sports, Saints baseball, trade shows, conventions, concerts,
and many other special events. Concession workers in the program are volunteers
who designate their "share" of the event proceeds to be applied toward their
tuitioin at Presentation School.

Kids First Scholarship
KidsFirst was created to enable low-income parents in the Minneapolis-St. Paul
area to obtain private school education for their children. KidsFirst provides
partial tuition grants for youngsters in grades K-8, paying 75% of the tuition,
to a maximum of $1,700 (2005-2006) per year to qualified applicants.
There are no academic requirements for KidsFirst grants. Eligibility is based on
financial need and parents' willingness to pay their portion of the school
expenses. Winners are drawn by lottery.
Current Families
Siblings of children already in the KidsFirst program may apply regardless
of whether they are in public or private school now.
New Families
KidsFirst will accept applications from new families for children who are
currently enrolled in public school.
