History
Presentation School has a rich history of
transforming young children into capable high school students.
9.25 acres of pasture land were purchased February 18, 1947, on the highest
point in the area, commanding an awesome view of the Twin Cities. Father Raymond
A. Rutkowski, retired World War II Pacific Army Chaplain, led the parish.
The first church-school building, consisting of a chapel, three classrooms, and
a community hall, was dedicated on June 20, 1948. In 1949, three sisters opened
the school with 120 students. The first school addition was completed in 1951,
the second in 1955, and the final in 1962.
Today, Presentation hosts students from all over the east metro area as well as
some from as far south as Eagan. |
